DJ PAUL CROOM

1/3

Mixcloud Archive Show »
In 1982, Paul started mixing House (club) music, with a few friends in the basement of my parent’s home, in Newark, NJ. They jokingly dubbed him "the mixologist". This led to playing reunions, college parties and block parties. Paul was influenced by the likes of Tony Humphries, Larry Levan, Merlin Bobb, Timmie Regisford, and many others. In 1987, while in college in TN, where the house music scene was non-existent, so Paul would throw some house tracks on for the NYC, Chicago house heads. Paul credits his wife for his rebirth into mixing. Her insight, love and devotion led her to secretly acquire various pieces of DJ technology, so he could once again bring the talents of DJ Paul Croom to light.
